Full grown succulents don't actually like to be misted. They thrive in arid climates, so when you mist them, you are changing the humidity around the plant. This can lead to rot as well. Use misting for propagation babes to lightly provide water to their delicate little roots.

Take your succulents completely out of soil and put the roots in water for about 24-72 hours. Soil has organic matter in it and can result in rot if the root is fed with so much water, so it's important that you clean all the soil off the roots before starting water therapy.
